Privacy Policy

Effective date — January 1, 2025

Overview

ZeroLink is a screen sharing app that works entirely over your local Wi-Fi or hotspot. It does not require an internet connection to function.

ZeroLink does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your screen content never leaves your local network.

Data we do not collect

ZeroLink does not collect any of the following:

screen content photos or media location contacts device identifiers usage analytics IP addresses network names

Crash reporting

ZeroLink uses Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, solely to receive anonymous crash reports when the app unexpectedly closes. This helps us identify and fix bugs.

Crashlytics may collect:

crash stack traces device model Android OS version app version crash timestamp

This data is anonymous, cannot be used to identify you, and is used only for stability improvements. No screen content or network activity is included in crash reports.

For more details, see Google Firebase's privacy policy.

Local network usage

ZeroLink requires access to your local network to discover and connect to nearby devices. All screen data is transmitted directly between devices on your network using a local connection — it is never routed through the internet or any external server.

Permissions

ZeroLink requests only the permissions necessary to function:

FOREGROUND_SERVICE — to keep the screen share active

CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE — to detect local network availability

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE — to display your local IP address

MEDIA_PROJECTION — to capture your screen for sharing

Children's privacy

ZeroLink does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
